Step into the quiet,

where the wild meets the edges of you,

and time softens into something boundless.

Walking steadies your spirit—

each step a quiet rhythm,

a thread of belonging,

woven into the surroundings.

The trail winds like a thought,

soft, untamed, full of secrets.

The trees lean in,

whispering forgotten truths:

how to root deeply and stretch endlessly,

reaching for light, always.

The sea’s waves, a mirror

of life’s steady rhythm,

of welcoming and letting go.

Pilates invites your body to expand—

unfurling strength like the morning light,

awakening the spaces,

where ease and power reside.

Meditation calls you inward—

to the vastness beneath.

A quiet tide pulling you home,

where stillness becomes clarity.

An experience where the abundance within unfolds—

in the wild, in the stillness,

in the way you walk back to yourself.

The Friendly Beaches Lodge blends seamlessly into its remote environment, offering a refined yet understated sanctuary. Designed by Latona Masterman & Associates, the lodge's architecture is intentionally invisible, allowing the surrounding wilderness to remain at the forefront. With its commitment to sustainability - being completely off-grid in its operation - the lodge provides an intimate experience that reflects the natural beauty of Freycinet’s coastal landscapes. Being only 100metres away from the beach, our home is the only building located on the coastal side of the Freycinet National Park.

It's a space of creating abundance in itself - moving and stretching on the extensive outdoor deck amongst the fragrant native fauna, communal dining on a large timber table, retreating back onto a cosy lounge nestled between books, fireplaces and expansive sliding glass doors that beam with natural light and share views of the surrounding bush. Off these spaces are the 8 sleeping areas, which serve as blissful nooks of privacy to truly embrace the solitude of the environment.

‘A revolving connection of resources from the earth, to the earth, celebrates the significance of being in a place of such raw natural beauty as The Freycinet Peninsula. Elements of luxury do grace the guests of The Friendly Beaches Lodge, as they nightly enjoy skillfully cooked meals and sleeping on Egyptian cotton sheets, but the overall experience is one of honest simplicity.' — The Local Project

\\ move PILATES FLOW & STRETCH BY ELAINE KOEBER

Elaine is the founder of citta collective. Being the host, creator and Pilates teacher of our events, she connects the puzzle pieces of over 12 years in Pilates, Physiotherapy, Personal training and managing events around wellness and health.

In her unique classes she cultivates a Pilates experience that allows tuning into our bodies, uncovering and balancing out muscle imbalances, replenishing body awareness and accessing areas that need extra nurture through movement and the renowned deep burn.

Each day of our retreat will include a Pilates flow, focusing on dynamic strength through core, deep hip and arm muscles. We unwind and close each session with restorative Pilates to lengthen and stretch areas that carry tension from our walks, so that we feel refreshed for the next day and adventure ahead. Experience improved alignment, posture, stability, mobility and deep strength.

All exercises in our classes can be tailored and modified to experience level, pregnancy, injuries and health limitations.

\\ move WALKING BY OUR PRIVATE GUIDE OF FREYCINET EXPERIENCE WALK

We walk where the wild reveals itself in quiet, profound ways.

Over four days, we explore Tasmania’s Freycinet Peninsula with the expertise of our private guide of the 'Freycinet Experience Walk'. Each day is a rhythm of movement and discovery—winding through ancient forests, coastal heathlands, expanding cliff tops, white beaches and trails alive with the whispers of this storied land. These are not just hikes, but an intimate journey by foot through landscapes that stretch from the untouched sands of Friendly Beaches across Bear Hill and Bluestone Bay to the striking granite peaks framing Wineglass Bay. We cruise by boat across the tranquil waters of Oyster Bay, stepping onto Schouten Island, where time feels suspended and nature reigns supreme. Along the way, our guide shares insights that connect us more deeply to the land’s heritage, its wildlife, and its untamed beauty.

The intensity of the walks adapts to the rhythm of the land and the group—balancing moments of gentle exploration with invigorating climbs, rewarding descents, refreshing swims and restful breaks for inward journeys, reflection and connection. Throughout the walks, moments of pause are met with thoughtfully prepared nourishment of fresh, locally sourced provisions. Each bite is a reminder of the connection between the land and the body, offering energy and grounding for the journey ahead.

Together we explore the simplicity of walking—immersive, restorative, and transformative.

\\ nourish BY OUR PRIVATE CHEF OF FREYCINET EXPERIENCE WALK

The nourishment during our stay is woven into the rhythm and purpose of our retreat—a balance of effort and ease, grounding and expansion, comfort and immersion. Every dish reflects the essence of Tasmania—crafted with fresh, local ingredients that celebrate the region’s seasons. Imagine vibrant and organic produce, artisanal cheeses, wholesome treats, and the finest seafood, all prepared simply, clean and with care to highlight their origins.

With the intention to prepare for the day ahead, our breakfasts will be in the lodge with morning light dancing through the surrounding treetops. The lunches accompany our walks, thoughtfully prepared to sustain and delight and every day shared with a different natural surrounding. Evenings back in the lodge bring warmth and connection, with shared meals by the fire, where flavours are layered with intention and stories, paired with a glass of handpicked Tasmanian wine.

We cater for dietaries, allergies and pregnancy. Please make any requests upon booking.

\\ rejuvenate MEDITATION BY ELAINE KOEBER

meditation.

it's not about clearing the mind.

it's about watching it wander and then gently guiding it back.

it's not about pushing away, holding on or letting go of thoughts.

it's about observing the patterns of the mind and going with its flow, rather than working against it.

it's not about being super focused to not get distracted.

it's about practising to return to the present moment. again and again. — by Elaine Koeber.

We love the approach that there are many ways of meditation. And that there are many ways to explore it. As we meet on this gentle and open minded path either by the beach, by the fire or under the stars, we will be guided and learning to guide ourselves into the world of meditation.

\\ grow ON THE INTERSECTION OF CONSCIOUSNESS, REFLECTION & INTROSPECTION.

'The most effective way to change your habits is to focus not on what you want to achieve, but on who you wish to become.' — James Clear.

This retreat experience is not about listening to lectures or participating in workshops. It is about being guided into a natural revealing of what's for us to find beyond the layers of the daily hustle and bustle.

Once we sit back, find stillness and let the elements of nature and our existence carry us, we can discover long forgotten consciousness and desires. The time and space for reflection, introspection, connection and relaxation allow us looking at our life and ourselves with a wider lens, broadening the horizon of knowledge and tools that transform the relationship with ourselves and guiding us to deliberate decisions for our health and happiness to flourish.
