curious for more.

At citta collective we thought of everything, so you don’t have to.

If you have a specific question you can’t find in the collection of faq’s below, get in touch and we are happy to assist via email or arrange a phone call with you.

  • We are excited that you are interested in your first retreat with us. This is an inclusive event for all levels of age and experiences in any activity. Everything we do is based on no pre requisites, no judgement, no competition. It's for you to explore different ways of self care, recovery and time off.

A few thoughts to make this the best experience possible for yourself: Listen to your body. Take as many breaks as you need during classes. Seek some undistracted "me time" where you go for a walk or sit where ever you feel invited. Take as much time of devices as possible and let people know that you might be out of reach for a few days.

All parts of our retreat are optional and very easy to explore. If you feel stuck, need some change, need to talk, we are always happy to assist with anything.

  • Think about what would be more important to you personally - to have some well deserved "me time" or share the experience with a friend or your partner.

Most room bookings are equally to choose from - your own private room or share with your +1. Sometimes, if a room is spacious enough we offer a shared option with another guest to provide a more affordable option. If you like we are happy to pair you with one other solo traveller. Bunk beds are not in our interest.

If you are travelling solo, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy time and space on your own or to connect with other people (and other guests that came on their own).

  • We highly recommend travel insurance.

  • Plenty!

The essence of our retreat time circulates around our four citta collective core pillars ‘move nourish rejuvenate grow’.

Beyond these we value the time and space for reflection, introspection and relaxation. With the retreat being the beginning of our self-discovery journey, we offer a range of 'grow' workshops, all optional at your retreat time with us.

Lots of time will be available for your own for massages, naps, walks, swims, reads or to get to know others.

You know what you need most and why you choose to go on a retreat.

  • All our retreat are exclusive premium events with less than 10 rooms available. Depending on solo or +1 bookings, our attendee number is on average between 8 and 12. And we love that.

A small retreat gives us the opportunity to create a tailored experience and support your intentions for taking this time out for yourself. It allows you to make personal connections to teachers and other attendees if wanted; and to find the physical and mental space we desire when going on a retreat.

  • Our retreat venues are handpicked. We have a thing for architecture and interior design. And since our surroundings are surprisingly to 50% responsible for the way we feel (the other 50% are your internal world and how you treat yourself), we have searched the planet for small unique spaces that will create part of the retreat experience and have its own personality.

We are also drawn to overlooking views, lush green expanding spaces and either beaches, rolling hills or forests close by, so you can go for a wander when you feel like it.

  • We'll send an email to all attendees a couple of weeks before the retreat with some ideas of what best to pack.

Here are a few things to consider already:

    comfy active wear

    warm long clothes incl. socks

    swim wear

    thongs or birkies

    sneakers

    sunnies

    sunscreen

    hat

    * teaching classes or holding workshops

    * administration and marketing

    * photographer

    * get involved in retreat welcome gifts

    * promote and sell your products at our day retreat wellness pop up markets

We would love to hear from you here.

  • Of course and a big welcome! This could be the start of your regular practice and some amazing changes in your body and overall wellbeing. We love to make all our offerings accessible even if you are a beginner, since we all have started as a beginner somewhere. There is no pre experience needed for any of the classes we run at our events.

  • Over the last decade I have been fortunate enough to work with clients of a broad variety. Through my work as a physiotherapist and personal trainer I have found my interest in accommodating clients and working together towards the best outcome for both physical and mental health. Our collaborations are with very knowledgeable teachers and practitioners, so that you are always in good hands.

All exercises in our classes can be tailored and modified to injuries and health limitations. Please let us know about any health conditions and modifications you might need via our Booking Agreement. We would appreciate a small update on how you are feeling that day for the teacher that is instructing at the retreat. All information are treated discrete and confidential.

  • We absolutely love that you are considering going on a retreat before having a baby and we encourage this time for yourself to check in, get pampered and learn habits and routines that you can maintain when life gets a tad busier.

All classes and activities can be modified, as me and other teachers that we collaborate with are experienced with pregnant clients.

Movement during pregnancy is important for pelvic floor, lower back support and overall strength. Aaaand our private chef is cooking only the cleanest, freshest and mostly plant based food and can accomodate to pregnancy dietary requirements without problems.

  • Nope, we have mats at the venue. If additional mats are needed, we will let you know well ahead.

  • All our retreats include accommodation, classes, workshops, breakfast, lunch, dinner, all day available tea, water and fruit, one luxe treatment, access to the citta collective ongoing learning program and a welcome goodie bag with products of our own and our favourite wellness brands.

Travel costs to and from the venue and your travel insurance are not included.

We will specify if there are any optional add ons you can book extra.

  • We are happy to organise a payment plan together with you. Please reach out via email or let us know in your Booking Agreement Form and we will get back to you to set it up.

  • To make this the best possible experience for you, we require a few information from you.

Our small questionnaire will only take about 5-7min to fill out. You can tell us about your room and massage requests, your diet requirements and some details about your health, as well as exercise routines. This allows us to tailor the retreat and our offering to you for a relaxed time ahead.

  • Offerings of wellness and wellbeing should not be a privilege, but be available to those on various incomes.

Here is what we have on offer:

~ We are happy to organise a payment plan with you. Sometimes instalments can make a huge difference.

~ We launch new retreats to our retreat waitlists and newsletter community. This way you get access to special offers, early birds and give aways, send us your email and we pop you onto our newsletter mailing list.

~ We are running regular day retreats and complimentary or small fee community classes, both currently in Sydney. These are promoted in our newsletter.

Please contact us if you are interested in those options and to discuss what we can make work together.

  • citta collective is a small independent business. Our retreats are exclusive and planned with lots of heart and effort to create a special experience for everyone joining. We secure accomodations, chefs and collaborations long in advance through non-recoverable payments and need to cover third-parties in case of cancellations.

Therefore we ask for a non-refundable deposit, with which you secure your spot. Retreat spots can be cancelled with refunds depending on the time frame before the event. For all details on this please make sure that you have read our Booking Terms before booking and you are certain that you can come at the chosen dates.

  • You will be well taken care of with breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will also be fruit and some healthy snacks around if you need anything extra.

  • Yes, our private chef will be creating mostly a plant based offering and can cater for any additional restrictions and for pregnancy too. When you sign up please specify in the questionnaire, what you need and we will take care of you.

  • The venue has drinking water supply. We will have homemade teas and tonics available all day and will do our best to provide coffee too :)

  • Our bodies are addicted to run on refined sugars, caffeine, alcohol, preservatives, additives and more. At our retreats we love to give our digestive and hormonal system a bit of a break from highly processed food and explore the rare opportunity to detox the systems with incredibly nourishing elements. We would love you to experience the full benefits of this. However we don’t like to give super strict rules to independent responsible adults :)

So if a nice glass of wine in the evening will be "the cherry on the cake" for you after a day of relaxing, feel free to bring your own bottle. However we ask to respect other participants, their decisions and down times in the evenings.
